Николчиной звучит так: «Я пристально смотрю на нигде (мое отражение в зеркале); пристально глядя на меня, возвращая взгляд, так же, как и мое отражение в зеркале отражает мой взгляд, нигде осуществляет своего рода контрдействие по отношению к той позиции, которую я занимаю, и таким образом застывает в своем существовании. Утопия, подобно отражению в зеркале, является „безместным местом“, которое позволяет мне видеть меня там, где меня нет. Гетеротопия — это трансформация взгляда, исходящего от зеркала и превращающегося в материальную силу, которая вынуждает меня воссоздавать меня там, где я есть».
